Taking a break from creating my own GIF's, I came across the amazing work of Florian de Looij whilst scouring through some of Colossal's articles.
I literally cant get over how simple these GIFs are, but how they are also so hypnotic and captivating.
It is pretty inspiring to see how well limited colour palette and shape can really have such a great impact - I hate to think how many actual frames these have in order to create this rhythmic feel and quality!
Florian is a Netherlands based designer and is inspired by the works of M.C. Escher and the idea of optical illusion, which his work centres around.
This selection of animated GIF experiments are specifically named FLRN GIF and as Florian attempts to make a brand new GIF everyday, he has tons of work, more of which can be found here and here
