When it came to printing these digitally, I was worried that somehow the level of detail in the fine textures I had created and the colour wouldn't come out as they appear on screen. I spoke with the printing technician and he suggested I print my postcards on a gloss white stock. The prints turned out better than I had imagined (after attempting to print a version at home), and no detail was lost in the process. I am always worried about falling at the last hurdle, thinking that after all this work, a mistake is likely to happen in the final stages. In fact printing my postcards at uni did the opposite, and I feel the print quality has enhanced the work overall. i love a good print!
