Secret 7: Hama bead art - 3D

Super last minute as the secret 7 deadline isnt long away!!! But it suddenly came to me the other day that I could try and produce something 3D for my album artwork in response to the tracks released.

I have seen that past submission winners work has also been 3D (like the likes of felt-mistress)


and some really do push the boundaries of what album artwork can be.

This kind of this is really inspiring to me and I feel can take artwork and the creative experience to the next level.

I am not sure which track from the secret 7 list to have a go at turning into a 3D "masterpiece" yet, but ever since seeing previous album artwork for Tame Impala, I have been really inspired by psychedelic aesthetics, pattern/details and use of colour. This for some reason gave me the idea to attempt some hama bead artwork! - melting a million beads together with an iron and forever finding tiny colourful beads all over the house.....what more could you ask for?

On the hunt for inspiration, tutorials and techniques.....so ofcourse i made a pinterest board!
It really helps me to organse and catagorize everything that interests me - makes it easy to refer back too and also makes for a lovely reading list/browse
