Next steps:
-Print my final linocut A2 prints in plain black and white ready for edit digitally. At this stage I am thinking that I would like my animation to be similar in terms of colour scheme to that of my digital print mock ups shown to Ben in my tutorial. I would like the majority of the composition to remain black and white, so that the various details are clear, and have the sun that features in the background of the print, a nice gold colour.
-Scan in my final chosen black ink printed design at a high 600dpi to pick up as much detail and printed texture as possible. I think at this stage and following on from how my test animations have turned out, my strongest composition is looking like my 'Baucis' print. There isn't too much going on in this composition and I think the visual elements within it would be more suitable to animate in terms of how much i can fit in to the allocated 15 second time frame.
Notes regarding strength areas within my 'Baucis' composition that would be best to animate:
-Clouds(moving/panning across/enlarging/fading?)
-Small flowers (enlarging/spinning?)
-Hook (swinging/extending down?)
-Petals (flying as if in the wind in circles across composition
-Large flowers (enlarging as if growing?)
-Areas of detail within the composition (fading into the gold colour?)
-Gold sun in background (fading in step by step? fading out?)
-Full composition (panning up into frame and out of frame - is this possible with layers animated on top of a panning layer and all still remaining together panning?)
*I want to try and avoid redrawing elements of my composition for certain movements at this stage. I am running out of time and hoping that my final prints and composition will be strong enough to animate as is as long as i separated correctly. I have invested so much time into my linocuts and prints, i am really excited to use these and try and make them move.
-Separate my final print into the various layers I want to animate in Adobe photoshop. During this separation, I need to be aware of the background layers that lie beneath the animated layers and fill these in carefully so that imagery isn't just an empty space beneath, once the above layers begin to move.
-I would like text to appear towards the end of my animated sting. I need to decide what this text should say and what font/colour to use. I am thinking that as the only colour I am thinking of using in my animation is gold for the sun, maybe the text should also be the same gold, hopefully keeping consistency and adding a pleasing aesthetic with this colour pop. Once i have decided on my text, font and colour, I need to have these as separate layers also, to upload into my after effects document.
-Upload my separated print layers into Adobe After effects and get animating
-Once animated, add my soundtrack and edit the section i would like to use and how i would like the sound to appear/disappear out.
-Export and upload to Vimeo ready to embed on my blog
