Whilst on the search for some inspiration for what detail to include in my linocut compositions, I came across some of my own photographs taken from the Cambridge Botanical Gardens earlier in the year.
I know that for my "Baucis" linocut and composition especially, there is a large area towards the bottom of the lino that requires a detail area of foliage. My photos taken from the Botanical Gardens provided me with just the visual reference I needed to generate a diverse collection of different foliage such as flowers, fungi, ferns, rocks etc, all which I imagine to feature in the city I am visually exploring as part of this brief.
