Thoughts
At this stage I am really excited to begin creating my visual responses for this module and brief. I am a little worried with regards to time and what I am aiming on producing, but in true Jess style - I seem to always reach for something a little bigger and better than before. I am aware how ambitious this is, but pushing myself and practice in this way is how i like to approach creativity and i am firm believer in stepping out of my comfort zone in order to grow as a practitioner.
I am not sure if i will manage to create a set of 3 A2 screenprints as well as the 3 A2 linocuts, so for now i will focus on the linos and getting them cut, printed and out of the way before attempting the screenprint element. I feel this is best as lino is the main way I wish to respond to this brief, and the screenprinting is just the additional bonus if I get the chance. If i manage to create all 6 final prints (3 linocut and 3 screenprinted), i feel it will be a really strong collection of final work and i will have explored a variety of printing processes which I think is key for my learning and development on the course, especially in the area of analogue printing methods which I am not an expert in by any means.
