Draft A2 "Pitch" Boards - For Final Mega Crit

I created some draft boards in the hope of bringing them along to the Mega Crit tomorrow. Hopefully these will help me throughout my pitch to my peer group to describe the concept behind my OUIL505 project and what I have left to finish off before submission. I am very aware at this stage of how behind I feel in terms of final resolutions and bringing my coral conservation project together - however I am looking forward to receiving the much needed feedback from my peers.

I had fun creating these boards without putting too much pressure on myself for them to be the "finals" yet. I used this task as an opportunity to begin to pull together the key information and research I have discovered as a part of this project - and the main information informing my artwork so far. This was difficult though as I have managed to generate a lot of research at this stage - informing my project, therefor narrowing it down for the submission of my A2 boards / project report may be a larger task than I had expected.

I am however a sucker for digital mock-ups after discovering "Graphic Burger" for an earlier module this year - therefore had extra fun finally applying my designs to their intended products and context - everything always so looks so finalised and I find this an inspiring way to push my artwork and see what else I can apply my design too (trying not to go overboard and keeping my "product range" concise and appropriate to the campaign I am proposing).

Information to include in my pitch:

Creative resolutions spanning 2d & 3D
Artwork with a message

Inspirations: Trip to Indonesia and cming face to face with the distruction of environmental habitats, in particular coral reefs.

Want to create a campaign style project where the artwork I have created can be put to good use (both 2D and 3D) in the hope of spreading awareness of these issues and gaining more support from the intended audience (both financial and global conservation).

Explain how my artwork / resolutions could appear as an environmental creative exhibit on its own, or adorn the walls / adverts within a museum showcasing specific organisms linking to the campaign, could appear on billboards to appeal to the general public and spread awareness, as well as appear of campaign specific products - availible for purchase by audiences either within gallery shops, museum shops or online as part of a campaign website and merchandise - all proceeds to be donated to the global efforts targetting these issues and specific conservation groups.

Name of environmental campaign: "Coralise"??

Further impact / distribution of artwork & application: 3D products (hama beads & Clay?) -Links directly to chosen area of concept "object & Environment" putting my artwork and resolutions within an impactive setting to spread the awareness further and publicise / market the campaign via physical / tactile means:

  • 3D sticker bombs
  • clay models
  • Products: campaign magnets, badges and key rings
